Est-ce que la majorité des directions d'écoles exerce un contrôle sur la qualité de l'enseignement? NON!

Quelques constats

  • When principals had the opportunity to fire teachers, only 1/3 did so, even when teacher performance was terrible. 
  • When principals did fire teachers, there was minimal relationship between who was fired and who had the worst academic performance with regard to adding value to student results.  
  • In brief, culture beats policy – just giving leaders power does not mean that they will use it.
